Help Me Help Them
I am a huge believer in paying it forward. There are so many organizations that have enabled me to chase my dream of becoming an Olympian and now it is my turn to share the love. These are the organizations I care deeply about and can assure you they are making a massive difference in the lives of those they help and support!!
United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee
So excited that the Olympians and Paralympians are FINALLY under one name – USOPC!!! Unlike most countries, Team USA does not receive government funding for its Olympic athletes and programs. They count on sponsors, fundraising events and people like you to help provide athletes with the resources they need to become Olympians and Paralympians – and represent America on and off the field of play! I am proud to continue to support the USOPC whenever asked and give back to an organization that has given so much to me!!
U.S. Ski & Snowboard
As a member of the U.S. Freestyle Ski Team for 12 years, I will always be committed to see that these athletes continue to succeed. They are one team, seven sports and build around one common goal – provide the right resources for athletes who are inspired to be Best in the World!!
Youth Sports Alliance
Served 6 years on the Board of Trustees and is a current member of the Advisory Board. I am so proud of how much impact this organization has on the young athletes and future athletes in our community! Today, YSA supports 7 competitive winter sports teams (including hockey, figure skating, mogul skiing, alpine skiing, luge, speed skating & Nordic skiing), after school programs including Get Out & Play for elementary school students and ACTiV8 for middle school students and scholarships for junior athletes. Through these programs, they touch the lives of more than 2,500 youth each year!!!
TAG Ranch: The Authentic Generation
Currently a member of the Board of Directors. Watching these kiddos and their confidence grow from one year to the next has been an incredible experience. The mission of the TAG Ranch & Foundation is to provide for the youth of Utah & beyond a safe, education & life-enhancing environment to develop skills that make for more productive, confident & compassionate adults. It is an investment in our future. TAG: The Authentic Generation.
Fast and Female
Current USA Ambassador. So. Much. Girl. Power!!!! Fast and Female’s mission is to keep girls healthy and active in sports. They do this by introducing self-identified girls ages 8-14 to inspiring athlete role models at non-competitive, fun-filled events all over North America.
Live Like Sam
In 2015, we lost not only a tremendously talented young athlete named Sam Jackenthal, but more importantly he was a generous, fun-loving individual with a great sense of community. He was just 16 when he left us, but his impact in those few short years has inspired a generation. Live Like Sam is based on the core principles of Community, Athletics, Responsibility and Education – principles that guided Sam’s life. Their programs award character and need-based scholarships, create educational platforms with a personal development-based curriculum, build strong community partnerships and provide our youth with opportunities to volunteer and serve their communities.
The Speedy Foundation
In honor of my friend and Olympic teammate Jeret “Speedy” Peterson I want to help end the stigma. Also, advocate, conversate and educate about suicide prevention. The mission of The Speedy Foundation is to prevent suicide, support mental health education, and promote conversations to end stigma. They also raise funds for, and collaborates with, other advocacy groups to achieve their mission.
Utah Sports Commission
Currently an executive Advisory Committee Member and am so proud of what this organization is doing for a robust and diverse community of athletes and sporting events here in Utah. The mission of the Utah Sports Commission is to help enhance Utah’s economy, image and quality of life through the attraction, promotion and development of national and international sports, and to be a catalyst for Utah in its Olympic legacy efforts.
Salt Lake City – Utah Committee for the Games
Currently a board member. Utah takes great pride in the legacy of the 2002 Olympic and Paralympic Winter games and we are now building on this legacy. The formation of this committee is an important next step for Utah, as the state of sport, to show that we continue to be ready, willing and able to play host to a future Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games!
